Cardinal Orlando Quevedo, former Archbishop of Nueva Segovia started the vision to create NSCC. Msgr. Ambrose Cabildo, Caritas Executive Director helped realize the vision. CEO Divina Quemi was the first worker, Manager and CEO.
Registered on September 17, 1992 as Federation of Cooperatives with the Cooperative Development Authority.
Pioneer Members are 18 church-based cooperatives in Ilocos Sur.
NSCC was organized to empower cooperatives and implement projects that help erradicate poverty thru extending financial assistance, trainings and community development activities.
