The Nueva Segovia Consortium of Cooperatives (NSCC) successfully conducted its 32nd Annual General Assembly, held at the prestigious Vigan City Convention Center. This year’s assembly embraced the theme “Unity in Action: NSCC’s Drive for Cooperative Empowerment and Inclusive Community Growth,” bringing together cooperative leaders and members to celebrate and strategize for the future.
The event was graced by esteemed guests including Hon. Sen. Imee Marcos, Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Cooperatives, who delivered an inspiring keynote address highlighting the critical role of cooperatives in fostering economic growth and community resilience. Her presence, alongside other distinguished leaders, underscored the significant support and recognition that cooperatives receive at both local and national levels.
Among the notable local officials who accompanied Senator Imee were Hon. Chavit Singson, former Governor of Ilocos Sur, Gov. Hon. Jeremias “Jerry” Singson,Hon. Ryan Luis Singson, the Vice Governor; Hon. Ronald Singson, Congressman of the 1st District; Hon. Eric Singson, former Congressman of the 2nd District; and Hon. Jose “Bonito” Singson, Mayor of Vigan City.
Additionally, the assembly welcomed CoopNATCCO President Mr. Alexander Raquepo, Atty. Frederick Joe Robles, Regional Director of CDA Region 1, and Mr. Enrique Godoy Dela Cruz, Management Consultant for High Value Crops of the DA. All of them gave their valuable insights and encouragement to the cooperative members.

As the assembly concluded, a resounding message of solidarity and progress echoed through the Vigan City Convention Center.
